Requested by many listeners, Prof. Graeme Macqueen talks about the 2001 anthrax episode, as one of the FBI investigators charges his agency withheld key evidence.Macqueen is retired from McMasters University in Canada, and author of The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy.

Macqueen makes the case that unravelling the truth about the anthrax attacks could lead to exposure of an accurate account of the incidents of 9/11/01.  He notes that the Bush administration was feverishly pushing for passage of the USA Patriot Act, and that two key anthrax targets, Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT) and majority leader Tom Daschle resisted the rush job because changes they had negotiated were not in the final draft.

In our wide-ranging conversation, we talk about the way the tag “conspiracy theory” is used to dismiss rational challenges to official narratives and cite the work of Prof. Lance deHaven Smith and his use of the term “state crimes against democracy”.

We look at the shifting theories of the FBI investigation, from the initial false links to Iraq and al Qaeda to the false accusations against Steven Hatfill, to the ultimate “lone wolf” blame laid to bioweapons expert Dr. Bruce Ivins.  And we discuss how Ivins was targeted and then allegedly killed himself with a Tylenol overdose.

My thanks to many listeners who’ve asked me to interview Prof. Macqueen!
