Carl Mayer, attorney who won ruling that NDAA detention clause is unconstitutional, files new appeal with US Supreme Court today… Great confusion remains from the detention clause 1021-b of the 2012 Defense budget bill, which permits detention of citizens and residents without charge or trial, at a military base, on suspicion of terrorist connections.  Mayer explains that on October 2, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary stay on the injunction issued Sept. 12.  Today, he filed an emergency brief with Justice Ginsburg to lift that stay.  The full interview will be released tomorrow.
