Former US Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is skeptical of claims that Syria is responsible for chemical incident that led to Trump’s missile barrage, and demands investigation.Kucinich, who ran for president in 2004 and 2008, returns to our show to warn of possible “false flag” in the chemical weapons incident in Khan Sheikoun, Syria one week ago, with concerns that Trump’s impulsive response reflects a “regime change” agenda embraced by neocons of both parties.

Kucinich frames Trump’s newfound humanitarian impulse as part of the effort by neocons to counter Trump’s campaign rhetoric against regime change wars in the Mideast, and to trap him into widening the war in Syria and Iraq.

He slams the attacks on Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HA) for demanding an investigation, which came from former DNC chair and 2004 Kucinich rival, Howard Dean.  Dean echoed Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, the think tank that Kucinich calls a “stink tank” for taking funds from Turkish interests.  He criticizes Democrats in general for support of misguided wars since 2001.

We also get his take on the Trump-Russia investigation, which Kucinich sees as an effort to undermine Trump’s approach to Russia and dial up tensions with Putin over Ukraine, Syria, and the US elections last year.

And, as we wrapped up, he talked about his role as a commentator at Fox News, but declined to comment on the current Bill O’Reilly controversy.
