Former CIA analyst and co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, Ray McGovern returns to the podcast, detailing his recent encounter with former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper; he suspects that former CIA Director Brennan could be Guccifer 2.0; and he defends Julian Assange.McGovern wrote this report about his encounter with Clapper, which includes a video of his question to the former top spook. We open with his account, and discuss how many Democrats now confer credibility on Clapper and Brennan, whose public lies are well-documented.
McGovern reverts to analyst mode as he speculates that the CIA hacking tool Marble Framework was used in the alleged DNC hack, as the program allows the hacker to leave behind evidence that, for example, Russian hackers were the intruders. We also note that there has been no media or known government investigation into former British ambassador Craig Murray’s claims that he picked up the DNC trove from a man with a flash drive in a D.C. park, the unexplained death of DNC worker Seth Rich, and the evidence-based work of Bill Binney and others in VIPS who believe the DNC was the victim of a leaker, not a remote hacker.
We talk about how the sealed indictment of Julian Assange was inadvertantly revealed, and the curious detachment in corporate media coverage of the developments, since these outlets do lots of investigative reporting based on leaked documents and they all have published some secret materials released by WikiLeaks.
McGovern also comments on the news that Russia has brought new charges against Bill Browder, the promoter of the Magnitsky scandal, calling Browder a “charlatan”.
